Clips of the Week (3/3)

It’s the first the Saving Throw (Twitch | Twitter | YouTube) clip round-up of the month, friends! This week: Tempting Fate brings you the further exploits of a beloved (if felonious) penguin, our heroes get incredibly close to their Guild progenitors on The Broken Pact, and the Study Group learns some uncomfortable truths on Wildcards: East Texas University!

Sunday – 03/03: Lasers & Feelings (Grab John Harper’s Lasers & Feelings here) – Carrier Pen-Glens (VOD)

Thanks once again to our generous viewers, not only was this week’s episode of Tempting Fate was our third Carrier Penguins episode, but it was an all Glen episode! That’s right, spearheaded by the irreplaceable Max Issacson, each member of the cast was Glen, in what was quite possibly the most unhinged episode of Tempting Fate thus far. Normally we try to provide plot synopsis for you as a way to intice you to check out the VOD, but instead, I think that’s energy better spent sending good vibes to whatever remains of Rick Budd‘s sanity following the psychic barrage he endured during this session:

Glen Prime expresses gratitude.
Glen (Omar Najam) engages in a bit of robot seduction.
The Glens seem pleased. That’s not unnerving at all.
Glen (Revati Dhomse) makes an interesting use of “robot grease.”
A new Glen has been christened.
Adelie tries their best while Glen (Sam de Leve) admires their resolve (and Sam approves of their impression).
A new number one jam emerges.
Future Glen reveals their dastardly plot….
…and the other Glens react about how you’d expect.
We’re pretty sure Arby’s isn’t going to pony up ad dollars for this one.

And finally, the gang had some rhyming couplets to take care of:

Monday – 03/04: Guildmasters’ Guide to Ravnica (Amazon) – The Broken Pact (VOD)

Live from Wizard’s D&D Twitch: With their mission to retrieve tattoo ingredients complete, the Guardians of the Guildpact continue their journey with one extra member in tow—Astorok’s dad, Rock (played by Jimmy Wong!). Together, they’d eventually find themselves in the shoes of the progenitors of all their Guilds, in a flashback to the genesis of the Guildpact itself. Join Reuben Bresler as he takes our heroes on another adventure through the world of Ravnica at the VOD above, or check the highlights down below:

Rock’s still sore about the Hydra.
Astorok (Jordan Pridgen): A chip off the old Rock.
Lucian (Gaurav Gulati) experiences more philosophical differences between the Guilds.
Costume change!
Astorok has just a tiny freak out in his new form.
Svogthir teaches Rock about the cycle of unlife.
Lucian and Velma (Riley Silverman) find each other.
The lie behind the Guildpact.
Astorok still not quite getting the hang of being a Firemane Angel.
Tutturu (Ashlen Rose) treads carefully when meeting with her mentor.

Friday – 03/08: Savage Worlds (DriveThruRPG) – Wildcards: East Texas University (VOD)

It’s nearly time for finals, and the stress of the schoolyear seems to be getting to the students East Texas University in a very particular way. Will the Study Group be able to get to the bottom of things before they crack as well? See what Dean Jordan Caves-Callarman had in store at the VOD link up above, and check out the highlights below:

Rhan (Dom Zook) comes through in the clutch.
Addie (Meghan Caves) gets in touch with an old friend.
Sawyer (Jordan Pridgen) has it bad.
Meeting Rhan’s parents doesn’t go so well.
Of Rhan T’gath and transubstantiation.
People are being awfully blunt for some reason.
Honest Barrett?
More honest Barrett.
Calvin (Gaurav Gulati) finally figures it out.
A literal zone of truth.
Magic is real and so is Jackson’s thirst.

That does it for this week, friends! As always, keep an eye out on the schedule to stay in the loop for all of Saving Throw’s shows, and join us this week for our Spring Break fund-raising spectacular!

Hope to see you there! Take care until next time, and GO RAVENS!
